U.S. Model 1860 Light Cavalry Saber by Roby
American Civil War
34.75" blade length. 43.25" overall with scabbard and hilt. Curved single edge double fullered blade with 7" false edge mounting a brass hilt on a peened tang, and two branches to the knuckle bow, leather wrapped grips, and braided wire binding. Right ricasso marked U.S/1865/A.G.M. with the left showing maker marking C. ROBY/W. CHELMSFORD/MASS. Item comes in a steel scabbard with double hangers.
