Starr U.S. Model 1818 Contract Cavalry Saber & Scabbard
Seminole Wars
33" curved clip-point single-edged blade, 1.4" wide at ricasso. 38" in overall length with a 5" iron bird's head hilt and reverse-P knuckle bow. Grooved wood grip with leather covering. Obverse ricasso marked P./L.S./N STARR/US. Includes its steel scabbard with two suspension rings and the remnants of a later period Stuart saber hanger.
