Item additionally shows the American {Ordnance Bomb} to the left receiver and {Eagle/48} inspection stamp to the left ejection port. Barrel marked E/{Ordnance Bomb}/11-17, indicating it was made at Eddystone in November, 1917. Right receiver is struck with the Canadian {Arrow within C} broad arrow marking, with a similar mark struck into the right butt, indicating it served with the Canadian military in World War II. Right butt is struck with unit markings GGFG/223 with struck markings near the butt. Bolt serial number does not match receiver. Comes with unmarked Canadian style leather sling.
