Black Suncorite refinish to metal parts set in an oil finished walnut semi-pistol grip stock with rubber recoil pad set in buttplate featuring integrated right hand sling loop. Bolt-action repeating rifle fed by semi-detachable 10-shot magazines with lightening cuts to rear barrel and to the rear flanks of the action body. Item mounts a combination flash eliminator/front sight base/bayonet lug pinned in place by two pins above the barrel. Left side of the action body displays the model marking No5MKIROF(F) for the ROF Fazakerley factory over a production date of 6/1945. Item shows scattered British {Broad Arrow} inspection stamps with further {Crown/BNP} Birmingham proof marks on the barrel and action body. Item further shows Birmingham pressure proofing to the top of the barrel, indicating it was proofed after being fazed out of military service. Serial numbers match on the magazine, action body, and bolt handle. Stock has been sanded and shows no serial number marks.
