Lot Description

**1937 Dated S/42-Code Luger with Matching Magazine
World War II

9mm Para. 3.9" barrel length. SN: 5562a. Blued metal finish overall with polished safety flag mounting checkered walnut grips and fixed sights. Short recoil operated toggle-action autoloading striker fired pistol fed by detachable single stack magazines. Toggle link bears the S/42 code, indicating this firearm was made by Mauser, while the barrel extension date reads 1937. Item further shows {German Eagle} marking to the right barrel, barrel extension, and left bolt. Further marks include two {Eagle/63} waffenamt marks on the barrel extension with a further mark to the barrel, and another on the magazine base plug. Barrel gauge reading of 8,83 struck into the barrel below the serial number. Serial numbers match on the parts of the pistol, and on the aluminum base plug of the blued magazine. Magazine lacks the plus mark, indicating it is the standard magazine and not the issued spare. Standard GELADEN mark on the left side of the extractor and GESICHERT mark for the safety.
