An Impressive Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Hu Vase, Qing Dynasty
清 青花纏枝花卉紋大貫耳壺
Qing Dynasty

The baluster-shaped body has broad shoulders sweeping up to a flared neck flanked by a pair of tubular lug handles, brightly painted in deep shades of cobalt around the body and neck with large peony and lotus blooms borne on leafy meandering scrolls, all supported on splayed foot. The base is skirted with petal lappets. The bottom with an apocryphal Qianlong six-character seal mark.
Height 20 1/2 in., 52 cm.
