清中晚期 刺綉補子五幅
19th Century
Comprising a leopard badge and a small xiezhi badge, Daoguang period (1821-1850), a tiger badge, Xianfeng period (1851-1861), a tiger badge and a leopard badge, Guangxu period (1875-1908). Each is embroidered with a beast in the center, shown facing the sun as it alights on a rock amongst foaming waves. Each is reserved on a gold ground embellished with blue clouds and auspicious symbols.
Largest 12 1/2 x 12 1/2 in., 31.8 x 31.8 cm.
