Standard S&W markings, lower left of frame stamped in two lines: PROPERTY OF/U.S. NAVY. Matching serial numbers on the butt, rear of the cylinder and under the barrel. Revolver is accompanied by a 1943 dated Craighead Pattern of 1942 holster.
