Lot Description
A Classical coin silver water pitcher and creamer, Davis, Palmer & Co. (active 1838-1845), Boston, MA, and John McMullin (1765-1843), Philadelphia, PA, circa 1820-1840
Each of Classical form, comprising a water pitcher by Davis, Palmer & Co., circa 1840, or the partnership between Julius Aboyneau Palmer (1803-1872), Josiah Giles Batchelder (1815-1882), and Thomas Aspinwall Davis (1798-1845), with scrolled handle and decorated with bands of repoussé floral motifs, on footed base, the front of body with faint trace of inscription, marked to underside; and a creamer by John McMullin, circa 1820, with scrolled handle and decorated with bands of anthemion motifs, engraved with monogram, “RMS,” marked to underside.
