Publisher's quarter white pigskin over decorated birch boards, by Van Vliet and Nancy Southworth; top edge trimmed, other edges untrimmed; in original grey cloth slip case and black chemise, by Judi Conant. 

A lovely limited edition of Shakespeare's King Lear. Illustrated with original woodcuts by Claire Van Vliet and printed by her at the Janus Press on handmade paper by Katie MacGregor and Bernie Vinzani. Text, typographical design, setting and presswork done by Michael Alpert at the Theodore Press.
