Contemporary full brown levant, decorated in gilt; top edge gilt, other edges untrimmed; marbled endpapers, lightly soiled and with offsetting; ownership inscription of Eugenia Law Biddle on half-title. Book-plates of Brian Douglas Stilwell (designed by Reynolds Stone), and A(lexander). Van Rensselaer on front paste-down.
