Lot Description

A Federal inlaid mahogany tall case clock Works by John Brokaw, Bridge Town, what is now Rahway, NJ, circa 1800

Enamel-painted face decorated with bird, flower, and strawberry motifs, inscribed, "John Brokaw BridgeTown," the hood with broken pediment to cornice, centered and flanked by brass ball and steeple finials, the glazed arched door flanked by columns, the case with arched door inlaid with fan motifs, flanked by engaged quarter columns, a rectangular base with fan inlay, on shaped bracket feet.

H: 96 1/2 in. W: 20 in. D: 9 3/4 in.
