(vi), iv, (i), 4-231, (3); (vii), iv-vi, 239, (3); (vii), iv, 280, (viii) pp. First state content leaf in first volume (content leaves bound in at rear of each volume); second state text (uncorrected with exception of p. 218 line 13 in first volume); text leaves on L & D watermarked paper, dated 1807. Illustrated with three wood-engraved title-pages, three engraved dedication pages, and 104 hand-colored engraved plates with aquatint (most in state B); on J. Whatman watermarked paper, dated 1806-08. Contemporary full diced russia, stamped in gilt, rebacked, joints and extremities dry and rubbed; boards rubbed, scattered scratching to same; all edges gilt; foxing to prelims in each volume; offsetting from plates onto text in each volume; scattered minor spotting to text; armorial book-plate of B.
