London: J. Nichols, Son, and Bentley, 1814. First edition. 4to. xx, 246, (ii) pp. Illustrated with 24 hand-colored aquatint plates. Full straight-grain red morocco, stamped in gilt, scattered rubbing to joints and extremities; all edges gilt; by C. Lewis (as per description laid in); old catalogue entry tipped in at front; scattered spotting to text and plates; offsetting from plates on to text; book-plate on front paste-down. Abbey, Travel 517.

From the library of one of the greatest collectors of his day, William Thomas Beckford (1759-1844). Although he had no special mark of identification, a previous bookseller's catalogue description points to this copy being Beckford's, and it includes two-pages of penciled MS. notes, as was his custom.
