New York: The American Anti-Slavery Society, 1838. First edition, second printing. 16mo. (xxiv), 108pp. Illustrated with one engraved frontispiece portrait of Williams. Original quarter brown cloth over pictorial tan paper boards, paper spine label lacking, small stains along top and bottom edge of front and rear covers, front and rear hinge starting. Front free endpaper repaired along verso gutter with tape; several leaves at front starting to spring; scattered foxing; tidemark to the top edge off all leaves; book-plate on front paste-down; manuscript in pencil on front free endpaper.
