With the armorial book plates of William Lord North of Carthage and Baron Grey of Rolleston William North, 6th Baron North and 2nd Baron Grey] dated 1703 on front paste-downs of the first and second volume; later 18th century armorial book plate of the Earl of Guilford (likely the 3rd Earl, George Augustus, 1757-1802, a relative of Baron North) on front paste down of the third volume. With an additional engraved vignette title in the first and second volumes. Folding genealogical table in the first volume and folding diagram laid in to the third volume. One advertisement leaf before the list of translators in the first volume; ESCT variant issue of the second volumes with 4pp. of advertisements at back; 3pp. of advertisements at back of the third volume. Contemporary full blind-paneled and blind-decorated brown calf, contemporary red morocco spine labels and later black morocco spine labels. Scuffed, joints rubbed and starting to crack, spine ends rubbed, corners bumped; additional vignette title in the first volume detached, title-page in the third volume separated but present, paper loss after translators list in the first volume, paper loss after the dedication in the second volume, moderate to occasionally heavy toning to text throughout all volumes.
