Lot Description

A Tibetan copper alloy figure of Buddha 15th/16th century or earlier

Seated in dhyanasana on double lotus base, bearing a kalasha, the dhoti and shawl with incised floret pattern, a "patch" centered by a floret at one corner of the shawl, retaining traces of gold paint and mineral pigments, the base sealed.
