Lot Description

A Chinese carved white jade-mounted silver hand mirror the oval jade plaque possibly yuan-ming dynasty

The handle is a white jade belt hook carved with qilong and is attached to a silver mount on the underside; the back of mirror is mounted with a oval jade plaque with carved openwork depicting a goose among lotus and water plants. LITERATURE: For a similar carved jade plaque see the carving from the Lizzadro collection, dated to the Yuan-early Qing dynasty, sold Christie's, New York, March 21, 2013, lot 824.
