Carved oak tall case clock case attributed to r.j. horner & co., new york, ny or tobey furniture company,
chicago, il, the face marked, "The Brooks Household Art Co., Cleveland, O.," late 19th/early 20th century The elaborately carved case raised on four bun feet with lower relief panel depicting trio of revelers, the waist with glass panel door overlaid with leafy scrolls and grotesque mask, bounded by stylized columns topped with putti and animal heads; the face door flanked by carved musicians, framing brass filigree and painted moon-phase face with silvered Arabic numeral chapter ring, the three weight movement with eight chimes marked "Waltham Clock Company," with arched bonnet top surmounted by two urn finials and superstructure with central grotesque mask.
