Album of Quaker silhouettes: "Family & Their Friends of the Bacon Family" "made by thomas evans bacon" of philadelphia, mid to third quarter 19th century

Inscribed, "This branch of the Bacon family is much nearer the Thomas Bacon of which Emily Bacon Morrison is a granddaughter of his--the branch begins with John & Ann H. Bacon of Greenwich," comprising 132 black or white paper silhouettes pasted to white or black contrasting circles on variously colored stock, in marbled board album. Each sitter identified in pencil with name and place of residence. Families include Comfort, Evans, Reeve, Mickle, Rhoades, Haines, Starr, Lippincott, Pine, Jones, King, Peirson, Wood, Richards, Newkirk, Sheppard, Hancock, Morgan, Roberts, Haverstick, Scattergood, and Miller, of Philadelphia, Norristown, Spring Mills, Chester Valley, Springfield, and Germantown, Pennsylvania and Greenwich, Bridgeton, Morristown, New Jersey.
