The circular silvered dial with Roman hours and foliate and angel pierced spandrals, the dial signed "Wm Ferrer Pontefract", the flat dentil-molded hood with square glazed door, the case with long panelled door and single glazed porthole flanked by twin triangular moldings to sides, above conforming plinth base, the whole case polychrome and gilt painted to show chinoiserie scenes and floral sprigs on a black lacquered ground.
