Two portfolios with eighty-five photogravure plates after Edward S. Curtis (1868-1952) printed by john andrew & son, boston, ma, 1907-1930
The two original half-morocco folding cases with gilt-impressed portfolio numbers "1" and "8," containing loose plates from Volumes 1, 3, 4-7, of The North American Indian, subjects include "The Vanishing Race-Navaho," "Geronimo-Apache" and "Bear's Belly-Arikara," all on watermarked "Holland" Van Gelder paper.
