Lot Description

George III silver three-piece tea service john emes, london, early 1800s

Comprising a teapot with ivory handle on silver-mounted stand with wood base and an open sugar and creamer with gilt-washed interiors, each with engraved Greek fretwork band. Engraved with the Ball family crest of a demi-lion rampant semée of estoiles holding a globe and issuing from a cloud. The creamer and sugar with date letter for 1804-5, the teapot and stand 1805-6.
