Coin silver tea service john crawford, new york and philadelphia, 1815-1837

Comprising a teapot, covered sugar bowl and creamer, all of oblong shape with lyre-form leaf cast handles; the teapot and sugar bowl with grape bunch and leaf cast finial above an oblong top with matching grape and leaf decoration, a band of grapes and leaves at the top and midband, melon form bodies with four floral and leaf repoussé panels terminating in leaf cast legs on hairy paw feet, the teapot with paneled curved spout terminating in a floral and leaf cast bird's head; the creamer matches other two pieces in form and decoration, monogram.
