Lot Description

Pair of Sevres style hand-painted and gilt decorated porcelain vases late 19th century

Each with openwork mouth above cylindrical neck, the ovoid bodies painted to show maidens in bucolic settings on one side and a countryside scene on the other, unsigned, surrounded by gilt scrolls and strapwork on a sky blue ground, the shoulders mounted with bisque figures of Ceres and Artemis, raised on circular foot. Mounted and wired for electricity.

H: 17 in. (excluding fittings).
