Double action swing-out cylinder N-frame revolver with 6 chambers, .5" grooved target trigger, .5" checkered target hammer, adjustable white outline rear sight, ramped semi-Patridge front sight with gold bean. Standard Smith & Wesson markings. Revolver shows nearly partial coverage engraving with flowing open Arabesque scrolls along the sides of the barrel at the muzzle and frame, on the frame below the cylinder and behind the recoil shield, and between each cylinder flute. The matching assembly number XX245 is present on the left of the frame under the grip, and on the crane, and the mark O17 is found in both places as well. The matching serial number is found on the butt and in the crane recess of the frame. The ejector rod recess of the frame is marked 7959. The revolver is contained in a wood factory display case with blue flocked fitted plastic interior insert, a cleaning rod with brush, bore mop and screwdriver.
