The left frame has been struck with the three-patents in three-line marking with the left trigger struck 45 CAL. The barrel markings include COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY 38 SPECIAL on the left barrel and COLT'S MFG. CO. HARTFRORD, CT. U.S.A. to the top. The serial numbers on front gripstrap and frame match, while the rear gripstrap does not. The loading gate features the assembly number 314. Butt is additionally marked 2/SC/54.
