A remarkably crisp sixth plate daguerreotype portrait of a young woman clothed in a fine frock with fringed sleeves and unusual buttons, and wearing a veil draped to the back. (Notable spotting to image, otherwise very clear image; lightly cleaned and resealed 1993.) Housed in a mother-of-pearl push-button case not catalogued in Berg (light wear consistent with age and use).
