Ninth plate ambrotype of a bearded fellow holding a compass, square, and what appears to be some type of masonic object. It has been suggested that the subject may be a miner, but this cannot be confirmed (loss to varnish on back of plate, some spotting/discoloration to plate). Housed in half case (heavily worn).
