With an autograph note signed (“Peter Sis”), to Madeleine Albright, New York, 27 September 1995: “N.Y. 9-27-95 Dear Madame, Here is a Czech version for Bumlrdlicek[?] – I hope he likes it. We are watching all your amazing accomplishments and are very PROUD of you. No need to respond You must be very busy. All the best, Sincerely, Peter Sis + Terri + Madeleine + Matej.”

Together, 7 works in 7 volumes, all in original bindings and most in publisher’s dust jackets (condition generally fine).

Secretary Albright was an ardent supporter of Peter Sis and his work. Presented with a copy of Madlenka during her Remarks at American Friends of the Czech Republic Civil Society on 7 September 2000 in New York, she thanked Sis: “And this is actually the first time that we have met, but we have been pen pals for quite some time.... He is a remarkable, remarkable person who has enriched a lot of children’s and grown-up lives.”
