An Austrian Burlwood and Walnut Tabernacle Bureau

19th Century

Height 55 1/x width 37 1/2 x depth 23 1/2 inches.

​​​N.B. Secretary Albright was born in Prague, capital of Czechoslovakia at that time, which later split into the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Both countries remained close to her heart. President Václav Havel, a hero of the Velvet Revolution, is among the people she most admired. Secretary Albright surrounded herself with items from her beloved country, many of which are included in the auction, including this Burlwood and Walnut Tabernacle Bureau Desk given go her by President Havel. ​​
