**Smith & Wesson Texas Ranger Commission Sesquicentennial Commemorative Revolver Model 19-3 in Box
.357 Magnum. 4" matted ribbed barrel. SN: TR9781. Blued finish, color casehardened hammer and trigger, gold highlights on commemorative markings, smooth, oversized two-piece figured hardwood grips with Smith & Wesson medallions. Double action swing-out fluted cylinder revolver with six chambers, adjustable rear sight, ramped front sight with orange insert, grooved wide trigger and checkered wide hammer spur. Special gold highlighted commemorative markings include TEXAS RANGERS/S&W .357 MAGNUM on the left side of the barrel and the Texas Ranger logo on the left rear of the frame, with the dates 1823 and 1973. The revolver is accompanied by a special Texas Ranger Commission wood display box with flocked blue form fitting interior. Only 10,000 of these revolvers were produced in 1973 at an issue price of $250, which equates to nominally $3,000 in 2024 adjusted for inflation.
