**Colt Sesquicentennial Commemorative Samuel Colt Single Action Army in Factory Display Box
.45 Colt. 7.5" barrel. SN: 1144SC. Blued barrel and frame, plated cylinder, triggerguard, back strap and hammer, smooth two-piece figured hardwood grips with Rampant Colt medallions. Single action smokeless powder frame revolver with loading gate, frame notch rear sight, blade front sight and six-chambered fluted cylinder. One line Hartford barrel address. Left side of barrel roll marked 1814 - COL SAML COLT SESQUICENTENNIAL MODEL - 1964. The revolver is contained in the wooden Colt factory display box with a fitted crushed burgundy velvet lining. The box includes 12 dummy .45 Colt cartridges, a commemorative medallion and a copy of R.L. Wilson's book The Arms Collection of Colonel Colt. Only 4,750 of these revolvers were produced in 1964 with an issue price of $225, equivalent to roughly $2,200 adjusted for inflation.
