*Colt Buntline .45 Commemorative Revolver in Display Case
.45 Long Colt. 12" barrel length. SN: NB0529. Nickel plated finish overall mounting black synthetic Colt Eagle grips commemorating the legacy of Ned Buntline, the famed dime novelist who was alleged to have ordered specially built 12 inch barreled Colt revolvers for famed lawmen Wyatt Earp, Bat Masterson, and others. Single-action loading gate six shot revolver featuring a flat topstrap mounting adjustable target rear and matted front ramp sights. Left frame shows the standard two-line patent mark followed by {Rampant Colt} logo. Left barrel is struck NED BUNTLINE SPECIAL with the single line address on top reading COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A. with caliber marking to the right reading COLT NEW FRONTIER S.A.A. .45. Item comes in a wood display case with red velvet lining, a set of six nickel finished dummy rounds, and an engraved plaque bearing the likeness of Ned Buntline beside his signature. Item additionally comes with a COLT marked wood print pattern cardboard box originally for a .22 caliber Colt Buntline Scout. Included in the box are two imitation pearl Colt medallion grips. Item comes with no key.
