** U.S. Remington Model 1903A3
World War II

.30-06. 24" barrel length. SN: 4117077. Grey-green parkerized finish to barrel and black blued finish to bolt and parts. Walnut "S" stock has a plain straight grip and forearm, with handguards and double barrel bands. Bolt action rifle with an adjustable winged peep rear sight and raised blade front sight with sight cover. Item features an internal box magazine, triple stacking sling swivels, bayonet lug forend, and trapdoor buttplate void of contents. Markings include U.S./REMINGTON/MODEL 03-A3/4117077 to receiver. Barrel is marked RA/{flaming bomb}/11-43 behind front sight. Stock is marked with RA Remington Arms Co. rebuild mark, {flaming bomb} ordnance mark, and boxed FJA Frank J. Atwood cartouches all to left side. Stock also marked with what appears to be a partial OG mark on left side of butt, possibly another inspector.
