Lot Description

Fine Chinese celadon jade reticulated footed bowl and cover 18/19th century

Of two parts, the gradually domed cover is worked to show a circular flat handle carved in open lattice work to show a detailed lotus, scrolling leaves and floral blossoms issuing from a similar carved frieze, the base is finely carved with two protruding foliate carved handles supporting free hanging rings U-shaped interior, cup form base carved in a similar fine open work of indian lotus and foliate garlands, raised on a tapering carved circular base, over a good wood base.
