Stone is accompanied by AGTA gemmological certificate no. 91008410 stating that the stone is of Sri Lanka, but does have possible indications of heat treatment.
Note: Sapphires originating in Ceylon (Sri Lanka) have become more rare in the past decade due to the political unrest that the country has been experiencing. However stones brought out are to be considered of extremely high quality and rarity. Known for their stunning color these stones are considered to be some of the world's finest for hue, luster and depth of saturation within the stone.
