FIRST EDITION, LIMITED ISSUE, number 81 of 100 copies SIGNED BY RUSHDIE on the title-page and in a deluxe morocco binding. The Moor’s Last Sigh takes its name from the story of Boabdil, the last Moorish king of Granada, and draws on historical figures and events, tracing four generations of the narrator’s family. It won the Whitbread Prize for best novel in 1995, and was shortlisted for the Booker Prize in the same year.
