GURNEY, J., photographer. Seated portrait of a young girl with her hair down, wearing an off-the-shoulder dress. (Significant spotting to image.) Housed in a leatherette case with mat stamped "J. Gurney / 707 Broadway N.Y." and accompanying typewritten paper label reading "May 14 1859." -- Portrait of a toddler wearing a crocheted scarf around her head, with ornamental balls hanging from either end. (Heavy tarnishing to edges, spotting and other imperfections to plate; original seals.) Housed in a fully separated pressed paper case (split at spine, surface wear). -- Portrait of a pouty young girl with her hair worn in curled locks, sitting on the arm of an upholstered chair, hanging onto the top rail with one hand. (Spotting to plate; resealed.) Housed in a pressed paper case (surface wear, loss, repair to spine). -- And 34 others, including 32 daguerreotypes and 2 ambrotypes. Conditions vary.
