[GRANT, Ulysses S. (1822-1885)]. A group of 7 photographs of Ulysses S. Grant and his family.


4 CDVs of Ulysses S. Grant, most in uniform, each approx. 2 1/8 x 3 1/4 in. on cardstock mount (light soiling, some with edge wear including trimmed edges). Includes: Seated portrait of General Grant wearing 4 stars. Boston, MA: T.H. Burnham, 1868. -- Seated portrait of General Grant. San Francisco, CA: Wm. Shew, ca 1864-1865. 2-cent US Internal Revenue stamp on verso (partially separated from mount). -- Vignetted portrait of General Grant, n.d. Giesboro, DC: Gideon Smith. -- Vignetted portrait of Grant, possibly in civilian clothing. New York: C.W. Thorne, n.d. 

[With:] Genl. Grant & His War Horse. Washington, DC: J.F. Jarvis, n.d. 6 1/8 x 3 1/8 in. stereoview on cardstock mount (light, occasional spotting). -- "Imperial carte de visite" of Julia Dent Grant, wife of Ulysses S. Grant. New York and Washington, DC: Brady's National Photographic Portrait Galleries, ca 1860s. 4 x 5 3/8 in. albumen photograph on cardstock mount, which is thinner than later cabinet card mounts. -- "Imperial carte de visite" of Nellie and Jesse Grant, children of Ulysses S. Grant. Uncredited, but likely taken by Brady's National Photographic Portrait Galleries, ca 1860s. 4 x 5 1/2 in. albumen photograph on cardstock mount, which is thinner than later cabinet card mounts. 

Together, 7 photographs of Ulysses S. Grant and members of his family. Condition generally good to very good.
