Carved and painted carousel chariot dentzel carousel factory, philadelphia, circa 1890
Each side deeply carved with mythological figures of griffins and leafage above a raised panel ornamented with mirrored glass and wheels joined by scrolling devices and enclose two rows of seating. The seats decorated with old surface of silver leafing, shades of blue, green, red, retaining silver leaf surface.
