A Chinese Archaistic Pale Celadon Jade Wine Vessel, Gong
18th-19th Century
清 青玉仿古觥
the pouring vessel is carved in shallow relief to the body. The vessel is set on one end with a loop handle emerging from the head of a mythical beast. The fitted cover is modeled as a beast. The stone is of a pale celadon tone with russet inclusions.
Height 3 1/2 in., 9 cm.
