A Pair of Chinese Tielimu Official's Hat Chairs, Sichutouguanmaoyi and Matching Stand
Mid-Qing Dynasty
清中期 鐵力木四出頭官帽椅配方几
each with humped back crest rail supported on continuous posts form the rear legs, the S-shaped, slightly splayed splats divided into three sections, the uppermost with an openwork ruyi-shaped panel, centered by another plain rectangular panel, above a beaded, shaped apron, the curved arm rails supported by straight stiles and posts, the mat seat set within a rectangular frame, above plain, strutted aprons, all resting on cylindrical legs joined by stepped stretchers and the footrest; together with a later rectangular side stand.
Height 43 x width 17 x depth 23 1/2 in., 109 x 43 x 60 cm.
