A Set of Three Chinese Huanghuali Couplet Wall Panels
Qing Dynasty (1644-1912)
清 黃花梨祝壽詩畫挂屏三件
聯:漢庭文物千固重,晉室門才王謝多
each rectangular panel set in a rounded frame, the largest panel carved in relief depicting the immortal of longevity, Shoulao, following two children carrying a large peach, underneath a pavilion resting atop a small mountain amongst auspicious clouds and flying bats, all above pine trees, further clouds and bats; the two smaller couplet panels carved with inscriptions; the wood of attractive grain.
Height of each 39 1/4 in., 100 cm.
