Lot Description

ROOSEVELT, Kermit (1889-1943). ALS and TLS with additional correspondence.

2 page ALS ("Kermit Roosevelt"). 4 1/2 x 6 15/16 in., on Sagamore Hill letterhead. To "Mrs. Loring," Roosevelt writes in full: "I am very sorry to have bothered you with my telegram yesterday. I am going down to Mexico, and suddenly thought I might get a chance to use it, for I start on the seventh of September; but don't tell him I need the camera until he gets home, for it's of no Earthly consequence, and I wouldn't want him bothered about it. Give him my very best when you next see him." -- One page TLS ("Kermit Roosevelt"). New York, 25 October 1929. 7 1/4 x 10 1/2 in., on "Eleven Broadway, New York" letterhead. Addressed to Mr. Stanley H. Howe, International Exposition of American Import Trade. Roosevelt writes, thanking Mr. Howe for his letter and accepting his invitation/request to serve on the Citizens Advisory Committee for the International Exposition of American Import Trade, with one caveat: "provided it is understood that I am so much tied down in my own business that it is impossible for me to take an active part." -- Together, 2 letters signed by Kermit Roosevelt.

[With:] PUPIN, Michael I. TLS ("M. I. Pupin"). Norfolk, CT, 17 November 1929. On personal letterhead. Pupin writes to the Secretary of the International Exposition of American Import Trade, J.P. Kane, declining the offer to join a committee due to his declining health.
