Lot Description
Chanel Jacket, 2015
After four decades at Chanel, Lagerfeld earned a legacy as a creative force that reinvigorated the heritage label, infusing it with postmodern playfulness while honoring its roots. Equally versed in the languages of popular culture and the craft and traditions of couture, a combination described as ‘high fashion and high camp’, Lagerfeld’s reinvention of the brand and marketing savvy created a voracious appetite among young buyers, sealing the fate of the iconic double CC logo into this century’s visual lexicon.
Cardigan jacket made of a black and orange plasticized material trimmed with a cream wool. The jacket is cut with a fold down collar, long sleeves with a cuff and button hem, two front pockets, and a tiered "bib" at the center front. The fancy buttons are in the shape of camellias with see-through sections. The jacket is lined with silk woven with the CC logos and flowers. The jacket comes with the Chanel retail label listing the price at $8900.00. The jacket appears unworn.
