Lot 298
Lot Description
After four decades at Chanel, Lagerfeld earned a legacy as a creative force that reinvigorated the heritage label, infusing it with postmodern playfulness while honoring its roots. Equally versed in the languages of popular culture and the craft and traditions of couture, a combination described as ‘high fashion and high camp’, Lagerfeld’s reinvention of the brand and marketing savvy created a voracious appetite among young buyers, sealing the fate of the iconic double CC logo into this century’s visual lexicon.
Red and white plaid jacket woven with metallic gold and silver threads and finished with a self-fabric frayed trim. The jacket is cut with long sleeves with functioning buttons at the hem, and closes down the center front with hooks and eyes. The jacket is lined with tan silk woven with the CC logo and flowers. There is a gold-tone chain sewn to the interior hem.
