Lot 296
Lot Description
After four decades at Chanel, Lagerfeld earned a legacy as a creative force that reinvigorated the heritage label, infusing it with postmodern playfulness while honoring its roots. Equally versed in the languages of popular culture and the craft and traditions of couture, a combination described as ‘high fashion and high camp’, Lagerfeld’s reinvention of the brand and marketing savvy created a voracious appetite among young buyers, sealing the fate of the iconic double CC logo into this century’s visual lexicon.
Linen-blend tan and white fancy weave jacket with a flared hem and finished with a self-fabric fringe. The jacket is cut with a notched lapel, sleeves cut in one with the front and back panels, pockets over each hip, and a center front three-button closure. The jacket comes with a detachable silk satin flower pin.
