Possibly from a dressing case, each cylinder of octagonal form, and made of engraved rectangular mother-of-pearl panels held by silver braces, the hinged lid set with a conforming panel, one engraved on the silver lid frame J.B. Dumoutet no. 55 South 2nd. St. Phila. ALSO 120 broad St. Charleston, S. C.; the bottom panel engraved 1803; the other, similar, with an initialled top panel only. Cracks; second lacking bottom panel.
