Circular, the shallow dished body with a central flat chased and matted scroll and bandwork reserve enclosed by an incurved rim chased with repeating linked ovals, the shaped rectangular handles each chased with scrolls and shells and centering a projecting bust of a woman, all on a low spreading foot. Marked on bottom with incuse company trademarks,270/ [star]/STERLING. Interior formerly gilt. L. across handles: 12-/12 in.; wt.: 33 oz.
